28th of January 2011 was the most memorable day of our lives, as early in the morning Pratham Parvatyacharya Sri Sri Gurumaa received a call at 6.45 am from Ved Siromani Padma Vibhusan Pandit Jasrajji. With that Gurumaa’s happiness knew no bounds as it was Mamaji’s birthday, and he had decided to visit our Ashram to seek GuruMaa's blessings.
Gurumaa was very excited and she immediately called all the members, including: Om and Pushpa Khandelwal , AyushMitra and Ayushpriya, Yogmitra, Yogpriya, Chandan Rawal , Sumer and Gulab Purohit, Yagyamitra and myself. We gathered in the ashram at 9 am. Everybody got involved in the preparation of the Prasad, and tried to make these few special moments with Mamaji indeed very memorable.
The preparation begun with full gusto - from the cooking of all the best delicious breakfast to a personalized garnishing/decoration of the cake by Gurumaa. As soon as Mamaji arrived at about 9.30am everybody was overwhelmed to welcome him, and sang birthday song in chorus. Mamaji first walked over to the temple to seek Baba’s blessing, and GuruMaa said a short prayer to bless him and keep him strong and healthy. Gurumaa wished Mamaji in Indian Traditional way with Aarti & Tilak , and presented him a beautiful silver chain with Baba’s pendent. After that Mamaji cut the cake & then we all had a small feast. The whole atmosphere was very joyful and pious. Mamaji left at around 11.00 am. Pdt.Jasrajji (Mamaji) has always been an integral part of our Ashram, but when the Ved Siromani Padma Vibhusan Pandit Jasrajji himself decided to spend few moments of the important day of his life with Sri Gurumaaji and Her ashram members, it is a matter of great honour to us.
