With Baba's blessings it was a 'House Full' event even though most of our regular people were absent.
People left standing by the doors also held Sunderkand books in their hands and joined in. It was a beautiful and memorable rendering of the Sunderkand at our temple where one had to be there to fully appreciate it. Almost everyone who spoke to me was overwhelmed.
There were almost 350+ people and they all sang along in unison with Guruji and knew his way of changing tune, pace and rhythm filling the hall with almost a single unanimous sound! Guruji's group left Philadelphia at 3:00 PM but due to traffic got to the temple only by 7:20 after which we gave them tea/snacks, set up his things and started around 8:00 with his introduction. Everyone sat without leaving till almost 10:30. He disallowed recording so all cameras had to be turned off as he wanted a pure recital without any distractions. He came across as humble and disciplined. He placed pictures of his Guru, Ram Parivar and Hanumanji on the stage and probably Kusum DD would have a more accurate estimation of what was collected and also of the amout given to him. They gave out free sunderkand books to any one who wanted them. It was a late night including Prasad distribution for almost 400 people, for all but it was well worth it.
